I can speak for MOST women (some would agree to disagree) when I say that Valentine's Day is the second most anticipated holiday next to Christmas!
A day dedicated to receiving candy and flowers??

An excuse to get dressed up and go to a fancy-er than normal restaurant?
Totally awesome.
I could go on and on and on, but I'll spare you all my ranting. My sweetheart and I did not fail to celebrate this year...

Some friends of ours hosted a murder mystery party the Saturday before Valentine's... it was a blast! I especially had fun dressing up for my character, Dorothy May Bradford. The flashy and eccentric older sister of the murder victim. Can you see it?? Such a fun night!
P.S. I'm so lucky to call this guy 'MINE'... love him to pieces!

So was the splurge worth it? I've been wanting to try The Melting Pot for an anniversary, or something like that (you know...like when you feel justified to splurge on dinner).
I really wish I took more pictures on Valentine's Day. Every year I don't, but wish I did. But if we looked like you guys, maybe I'd be more inclined to take more pictures. Your murder mystery costume rocked! Killer dress and shoes!!!
