Rigging up the lights... :)

Okay, I know this post is LONG overdue, but in all actuality, I haven't had any new pictures until now!! And they aren't even that good! :) But with Christmas right around the corner, I couldn't let it slip away without showing off our attempt at some Christmas spirit. After searching and searching, with no luck, to find a reasonably priced, artificial pre-lit tree, (they are ridiculously expensive!!) we settled on getting a REAL tree, which in the end, turned out to be the better decision! Our house smells WONDERFUL! We definitely aren't regretting that $35 purchase from Lowe's :)

Our adorable REAL tree, decorated with red and black ornaments (of course) accompanied with only two presents so far... I have a lot of wrapping to do!

We all know that Christmas isn't Christmas without some outside lights! Thanks to my wonderfully patient and sweet husband who spent hours in the cold putting them up, our outside lights are perfect! It took a little work to get them that way... first, the unscrewing and screwing in of every other bulb for the red, white affect was a little time consuming. Then after getting them on the roof, we realized we were 7 feet short of our finished product :( SEVEN FEET! We went back to the store for one more strand, only to find that they were all out!! Never to get another shipment this season :( After searching a vast number of other stores for the specific lights, we had no luck and I was certain that our project would never be complete. After a week or so, I was kind of getting used to seeing only half our roof lit up :) Thanks to a great co worker of mine who recommended Sprinkler World for CUSTOM CUT strands of lights, our lovely display was finally completed! :)

The Big 2-4 & Some Halloween Fun

Jace's birthday was yesterday the 30th. The Sunday prior to his special day I made him a Halloween birthday cake (WITH 24 candles) and we enjoyed it with some family and friends. Last night, the 30th, we went to The Cheesecake Factory, one of his favorites. Jace thought that it was just he and I going on a birthday date but I surprised him by secretly inviting a bunch of our friends... It was fun to see his reaction when we showed up and they were all there to celebrate with us! Happy Birthday Jace!! I Love you :)

Earlier this week was the annual Park Family Halloween Party! I was so excited this year to finally have someone to dress up with!! As Jace and I brainstormed about what to be, we came up with one costume idea that we knew couldn't be beat. It was actually Jace that mentioned it, partially joking, but I took the idea and ran with it!! We got a lot of awesome reactions from passing drivers on our way to the party and the reaction of my family made it all worth it! :)

The Story

Jace and I met for the first time a couple of years ago on a group date... We were both with different people, he with his girlfriend at the time, and me with a random guy. I hardly remember meeting him but he says that he remembers perfectly... Being only the 2nd Noell he had ever met, my name kinda stuck with him :)
Two years later, on another group date (the joys of living the Provo single life) Jace and I, both with different people again, put the connection together that we had previously met two years earlier... it was meant to be I guess... either that, or Provo is just really, really small! A few months went by when we crossed paths again at a friend's birthday party... Jace asked for my number and called me a few days later. He had some tickets to general conference and wanted to take me... the rest is history after that. We were together everyday from then on and were married Sept. 12th.

Finally hopped on board

Well, after a lot of convincing from friends and family, (and a long awaited internet installation) I've decided to finally start a blog for Jace and I. I had to do a little convincing myself to get my wonderful husband to think this is cool :) He still kinda thinks its silly, but I know he'll warm up to it eventually! I'm still trying to figure this thing out so there might not be much for awhile... Hopefully I'll catch on quick!
